LIPAN ASTRONOMY & SPACE SOCIETY

The Lipan Astronomy & Space Society (LASS) is a integral part of theNatty Flatt scene. LASS was established as a formal amateur astronomyclub in the fall of 2000 and has been gaining membership and recognitionever since. We became a part of the Night Sky Network, which is aorganization sponsored by NASA and the Astronomical Society of America,in March 2004. One of the primary goals of LASS is to engage any and everyone inLipan and the surrounding communities in the hobby of stargazing. Ourmembership has representatives from Granbury, Mineral Wells,Stephenville, Hamilton and of course, Lipan. There are no membershipdues and actually no requirements to become a members except yourinterest in star gazing. The LASS club house and observing site islocated at 1180 Addison Rd, Lipan.
